How Pope Francis Trumped Donald Trump

Pope Francis was on a visit to Mexico and not the United States. Yet the impact of his visit was felt on both sides of the border. It was Donald Trump who dragged the Pope into the raging controversy and the consequential war of words. He termed Pope Francis’ decision to visit Cuidad Juarez, “political.” Mr. Trump called the Pope a “very political person.” If the issue was settled there, I would not be writing this article.
